Texas Bill Sparks Fear, Disney Goes BIG For Pride Month

A bill has been passed in Texas that many say will spark a large crackdown on drag performances throughout the state. The bill expands what is considered an “illegal performance of sexual conduct” by banning the wearing of prosthetics or accessories that enhance male or female form in front of a minor. Some critics say even amusement park characters would fall under this definition.

A Change.Org petition to remove the Florida school board member responsible for launching an investigation against a teacher who showed Disney’s “Strange World” film to her students has now reached over 30,000 people.

Just in time for Pride Month, a Japanese court has ruled that policies against same-sex marriage is unconstitutional in the country, paving the way for full marriage equality in Japan.

And Walt Disney World has unveiled a giant Pride mural at EPCOT ahead of One Magical Weekend featuring the progressive pride flag colors and the word “Love” in white letters.
