According to a list of "offbeat" American locales and "charming oddities" compiled by Reader's Digest, the quirkiest city in all of Missouri is Kansas City thanks to its abundance of unique museums and attractions.

"Kansas City has a lot of museums dedicated to subjects that no one would ever think a museum would be dedicated. Leila's Hair Museum houses an eccentric collection of Victorian hair wreaths, as well as objects made entirely out of hair (jewelry and tokens of love and remembrance)."
